1. Drink Water

This is the most common trick in case of a hiccup attack: Drink a large glass of water! You can take a large amount all at once, or take small sips until you feel better.

2. Focus Your Concentration

Sometimes focusing your concentration on another point can help you make those annoying jumps go away! List the activities you did during the week or try to remember your menus. You will see, it will require so much concentration that your hiccups will pass without you even realizing it!

3. Get in Motion

Another trick is to simply move! Going down and up your stairs vigorously or out for a jog will help your diaphragm relax and stop the hiccups.

4. Put Lemon on a Sugar

Skeptical? And yet! The acidity of the lemon will allow the diaphragm to relax . Put a little lemon on a sugar and let it melt in your mouth!

We assure you, this is only temporary! But stopping breathing for at least 30 seconds (longer if you can) would help stop the hiccups. Similarly, suddenly blocking your breath as if you were seized with a sudden fear would have the same effect. Why? Because the rise in carbon dioxide in the lungs immediately stops any unpleasant jolts.

12. Massage Your EARS

Movements performed on the ears influence the muscles that connect the abdomen to the lungs. Thus, plugging your ears or stretching them out would make it easier for the diaphragm to relax.

13. Bring KNEES to CHEST

You can also lie down on your bed or couch and bring your knees up to your chest to stop a seizure. Hold this position for at least a minute to get rid of hiccups.

14. Eat DILL SEEDS

According to herbalists, the seeds of this aromatic plant known for its digestive effects would be a good way to pass the hiccups. Chew dill seeds , it will act on the vagus nerve and your crisis will not last long.
